Special School Board Meeting

Oldham-Ramona School Dist 39-5

April 5, 2011

The Oldham-Ramona School Board of Education met in special session at 6:00 p.m. at the school. Present were Lisa Beyer, Larry Malcomb, and Mike Matson. Janelle Dinges and Chandra Waikel were present by telephone. Others present were Superintendent John Bjorkman and Business Manager GayLynn Hagemann. Chairman Beyer, who established a quorum was present, called the meeting to order. Unless noted all decisions were unanimous.

Action #2881: Motion by Malcomb, seconded by Matson to go into executive session at 6:03 p.m. to discuss possible General Fund budget cuts. Chairman Beyer declared the board out of executive session at 6:45 p.m.

Action #2882: Motion by Malcomb, seconded by Matson to not renew the contracts of Cynthia Lembcke, Bill Lutter, and John Roache due to a reduction in staff. Bill Lutter was reduced by 20% and John Roache’s summer hours were reduced.

The board appointed negotiators for 2011-2012 contracts are Lisa Beyer and Janelle Dinges.

The next meeting of the board is scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the school resource room.

Action #2883: Motion by Matson, seconded by Malcomb to adjourn at 6:49 p.m.
